Subprime Economic Impacts: NY Senator Chuck Schumer, the Chair of the Joint Economic Committee released a new majority report on October 25, titled: The Subprime Lending Crisis: The Economic Impact on Wealth, Property Values and Tax Revenues, and How We Got Here.The 34 page PDF file can be downloaded HERE.
Neighborhood Foreclosure Impacts: Also on the majority JEC website is a 32 page April 2007 PDF file that attempts to assess the impacts of foreclosures in local communities and neighborhoods. Sheltering Neighborhoods from the Subprime Foreclosure Storm can be downloaded HERE.
Editorial Comment: However much I see the value in these reports, it seems odd to have seperate majority and minority websites for the same committee.
