Freddie Mac Loses $2B in Quarter, Stock Hammered.

Bloomberg is reporting HERE that Freddie Mac financial reports show that it lost $2 Billion in the third quarter of this year. The story reports the loss was triple the estimate of most analysts, and goes on to report that Freddie Mac stock had declined by as much as 35%.

The story goes on to say that combined, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have LOST $40 Billion in market value so far this year.

(My earlier stories on favorable local, state, and federal income tax provisions for Fannie and Freddie are HERE, and HERE).
