Washington Post story today HERE provides background and quotes this email exchange between two HUD Assistant Secretaries who appear to explore ways to punish the Philadelphia Housing Authority (and its Director) as part of an dispute with HUD that also involved alleged interference from HUD Secretary Jackson:
The Assistant Secretary for Public Housing writes to the Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing "Would you like me to make his life less happy? If so, how?".
She replies "Take away all of his Federal dollars?".
The PHA Assistant Secretary then replies, "Let me look into that possibility."
