Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid stated yesterday on the Senate floor that he would keep the Senate in session until the FHA/GSE Housing reform bill was acted upon by the full Senate, even if that delays the 4th of July recess.
NY Times story is HERE. It refers to apparent blocking of the bill from Senate action by the other Senator from Nevada, John Ensign, who wants renewable energy tax credits to be included in the bill. In watching the debate yesterday on C-SPAN, Ensign referred to Washington Senator Cantwell as being a co sponsor of his add on provision.
