One Projection: Oregon to Receive $46 M+ in Foreclosure Block Grants in Housing Reform Bill.

I ran across a reference today to some prior data from Center for American Progress on projected state impacts of the foreclosure block grants that are part of the housing reform bill nearing completion and signature by President. (These block grants are contained in Title III of the legislation, "Emergency Assistance for the Redevelopment of the Abandonded and Foreclosed Homes").

Their summary of projected impacts from the previously passed Senate version are HERE; I have pasted a link to Oregon data I copied from this site below---it shows projected $46.4 Million in grant funds to Oregon based on March 2008 foreclosures of 6,950.

I would look for an updated projection in the coming week on the Center for American Progress website once the President signs the housing reform legislation. The update hopefully will include more recent foreclosure data, and use the final grant amounts in the legislation as passed.

Link to Oregon data is HERE
