HUD Formula Recovery Dollars Per Household and Per Person: Oregon 35%/32% Below National Average.

I did a state/territories comparison table HERE which calculates per household and per person HUD Recovery bill formula grants announced earlier this week. (Territorial population and households are from 2000 census, state and Puerto Rico HH's and population are from 2007 ACS).

Oregon got about $58 per household vs. a national average of $90; per person about $22 vs. $33. Those are 35%/32% below the national average for all states and territories.

Oregon was farthest behind in public housing capital grants (-61%). Oregon was only slightly below the national average in HOME/Tax Credit sub allocation (-1%) and was above the national average in NAHSDA (Native American block grants) (+49%).
