Omnibus 09 Appropriations Bill Moving Towards Consideration; HUD/Transportation Sections Are Here.

The last Congress failed to pass full year appropriations for FY 2009 which started last October 1st. The continuing resolution for the remainder of the fiscal year runs out in early March so this week the consideration of the FY 09 omnibus appropriations will begin:

• A House Appropriations Committee summary of the HUD/Transportation section is HERE.
• Division L of the legislation is for HUD/Transportation, and the bill text is HERE. Title 2 is the HUD section, see pages 78-164).
• The managers statement related to Division L (HUD/Transportation) is HERE. Title 2 HUD Section starts on page 101. This likely includes various earmarks, I did not cross reference to "certifications" below.
• Related to earmarks, I have culled 20 pages of "certifications" from Oregon members of the House HERE related to earmarks that they have requested in Division L of the bill. Note that the "certifications" include no dollar amount. (I only see three possible HUD related items. Pg 8, Defazio, Coos Bay; Pg 13, Hooley, Hermiston; Pg. 17, Wu, Vernonia).
