Freddie's 4th quarter loss of $23.9 Billion ($260 Million a DAY) is only slightly less than Fannie Mae's ($25.2 Billion ($274 Million a day). That's a combined loss of more than 1/2 BILLION ($533 Million) a DAY in the last quarter.
Freddie's 2008 annual loss of $50.1 Billion compares to Fannie's annual loss of $58.7 Billion. So in 2008, these companies lost a combined total of $298 million every DAY.
