Making Home Affordable Loan Modification Program: FINALLY, Treasury Posts Key Lender/Servicer Guidance Pieces.

Man, this took WAY too long.

Today I stumbled across a new Treasury website as part of a major makeover of the Financial Stability.gov website.

At a new "Administrative Website for Servicers" website HERE, the Treasury Department has FINALLY posted some key lender/servicer tools including

  • Servicer Participation Agreement
Template of the agreement servicers need to sign to participate in the HMP for loans that are not owned, securitized or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
  • Supplemental Directive 09-01 – Home Affordable
    Modification Guidelines

Additional guidance to servicers for adoption and implementation of the Home Affordable Modification Program for non-GSE mortgages.
  • HMP Data Dictionary (.xls)
The catalogue of all data elements and associated metadata for the program; including the names, definitions, allowable values, and data types; it also defines the functional areas where the data elements are being used.
  • NPV Overview
The NPV Overview describes an illustrative base NPV model that meets the specifications put forward under the Making Home Affordable Program.
