As part of my continuing series:, Public Housing Grads Make Good, the President announced this morning the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court; NY Times news story HERE.
Sotomayor is a former resident of Bronxdale, a 1,500 unit NYC public housing project built in 1955. (Picture above).
My initial post on this topic HERE, highlighted the appointment of former Governor Gary Locke, a former Seattle (Yessler Terrace) public housing grad, to the Commerce Secretary post.
