HUD Proposed FY 2010 Fair Market Rents: VERY Late, Judged by Publication Dates in Prior Years.

HUD proposed Fair Market Rents for FY 2010, which begins on October 1st, are very late judged by FR publication dates I could find for the the last 9 years.

In fact, FY 2010 proposed FMR's will be the LATEST ever during that time period, unless they are published by August 6th, next Thursday. And only in only one other prior year (FY 2008) were proposed FMR's published as late as July--all other publication dates were in May or June.

By fiscal year, these were the recent dates when proposed Fair Market Rents were published in the Federal Register:

• FY 2005, August 6
• FY 2004, May 28
