Washington County Housing Services RFP for Project Based Assistance Closes.

A RFP for Project Based Vouchers from the Washington County Department of Housing Servcies has now closed.

The RFP (HERE) solicited proposals for 75 project based vouchers owned by non profits or government agencies. 50 of the vouchers will be for the chronic homeless and 25 will be for homeless, elderly, disabled and/or have special
needs. All units will be SRO or 1 BR. units (see page 17 of the RFP).

Based on the RFP, it appears that the selections are likely to occur in September.

Washington County joins the Housing Authority of Portland as the only two housing authorities in Oregon that I see with any significant number of project based vouchers (If other Oregon PHA's have 25+ PBV, let me know and I will amend this post).

HAP has more than 1,000 project based vouchers, fully implementing a recommendation to leverage existing resources that was part of a Metro Regional
Affordable Housing Strategy developed several years ago.

[I would suggest other PHA's grab the RFP, so if they do PBA in the future they do NOT have to reinvent the wheel].
