My calculation of Oregon's ACS 2008 home ownership rates and ranks and the changes required to reach the US rate are in the table below (a negative number in far right column indicates Oregon HO rate is HIGHER than national rate):

Want more Home Ownership Rate data?
As with an earlier ACS 2008 post, I have prepared a ACS 2008 query HERE from which I did my analysis, including all the raw counts and margin of error information. This data uses a ACS table 25030, and several sub tables for specific minority groups. My query includes ALL of the following geographies:
1. US
2. Oregon
3. Oregon Counties
4. Oregon Places
5. Oregon Congressional Districts
You can RIGHT CLICK and save that query to a location on your PC .
Once you have downloaded the query to your PC you can then go to the main ACS American Fact Finder site HERE.
Look for the "Load Query" option underlined in blue near the top, and when the dialogue box opens ("Click 'Browse' to find the previously saved query on your computer"), browse to the query that you downloaded from me and then hit the "go" button. Once the query is loaded, ALL of the Home Ownership data for ALL of these geographic areas will be visible for viewing and/or downloading. (Pretty cool, eh?).
(TIP: If you want to try to replicate the same query for other years you MIGHT try to substitute your year of interest for any and all "2008" references in the query as it appears in the LONG browser address line--I copied the address from the browswer bar and after pasting address in , I did a "find and replace" operation in Windows Notepad to simplify this task. I then successfully tested the new query and it did work at least for 2007).
