RealtyTrac August Data: Oregon Foreclosure Actions About Double a Year Ago.

Oregon RealtyTrac data for August contains more mixed news, but with more bad than good.

  • Overall foreclosure actions are about DOUBLE a year ago. (Increase of 92%)
  • While default notices are down 93% from a year ago, the number is more than double the month before, an increase of 121%.
  • REO is up 177% from a year ago, but DOWN 12% from last month
  • Trustee sale notices, after declining for several months from Jan-June, went up again in August and are up 294% from last August and up 2% from July 09.
I prepared HERE a 2 page PDF file that includes a table with the Oregon data comparisons by foreclosure phase, links to RealtyTrac press releases, and a graph showing Oregon monthly data by phase for each month in CY 2009 through August.
(Same file for July 09 is
HERE ).
