Enterprise's website for this effort is:http://www.enterprisenextgen.org/Enterprise yesterday announced a $4 billion commitment to its Green Communities initiative. The commitment will create, preserve or retrofit 75,000 green homes and community and commercial buildings within the next five years. Enterprise has also received grants from three organizations: The Home Depot Foundation ($1.5 million); The Kresge Foundation ($1 million); and The Kendeda Fund ($1 million). Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, Living Cities, Surdna Foundation and The Oak Hill Fund will provide additional support. Enterprise also released Incremental Cost, Measurable Savings: Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, astudy showing the cost effectiveness of meeting Enterprise Green Communities Criteria, a comprehensive green building framework for affordable housing.
