Weather Underground has a nice calendar view that shows actual and average historical highs and lows by day; HERE's the Portland airport monthly temp calender for January 2010.
You will see that the last day where the actual low temperature was at or below freezing was Dec. 30, 2009. Even better news is that average highs bump by about 5 degrees per month, reaching an average high of 53 by the end of Feb, and 58 by end of March. In the middle of winter, and with what has been going on in the rest of the country, this is ALL good news.
I DIDN'T KNOW THAT:
After 30 years in Oregon you would think I knew this, but I didn't. If you take a look at Dec, January, and Feb. average high/low temp calendars you will see there is NO day where the historic average Portland low temperature is at or below freezing.
