I'm Now Using Twitter to Track 50 Housing Sources for You; How You Can Keep Up.

I am increasing the use of Twitter to provide more rapid updates on items that are typically short posts.

I find Twitter a very useful tool to get timely updates from a number of sources; I "follow" nearly 50 different sources of local, state, and national housing information on Twitter and have also taken to selectively posting key blog posts from the Oregon Housing Blog to my Twitter feed.

For short items, it's a lot easier and faster for me to tweet or retweet [rt] instead of putting together a separate blog post that often is only a link to the original source material.

To make my tweets readily available I have added a running list of my most recent 5 twitter feeds in the right pane of the blog; look for the list with the black background. (A simple click on the Oregonhousing header in that pane will open Twitter to show all of my tweets)

Note that those twitter feeds will NOT appear in the daily email consolidated update that many subscribers to the blog use. (I have yet to find a way to add those twitter feeds in the daily email update that many receive).

Suggestions, IF you want to keep up with my housing related tweets:
1. Strongly recommended--Establish a free Twittter account, then "Follow" my oregonhousing Twitter feed [You can also get twitter feeds on your mobile phone, most smart phones have Twitter APPS].

2. Bookmark my blog and check in on the right pane occasionally to see the latest tweets from my Twitter feed.

3. Bookmark my Twitter feed directly HERE and check in occasionally to see the latest tweets.
