HUD Direct Funding for Fair Housing Program Grantees In Oregon For 3 Fiscal Years Hits $1.4 Million.

FHIP Grant Funding: $1,075,000
The Federal Register tomorrow will have three notices listing  grantees and funding for the HUD Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) for FY 2008, FY 2009, and FY 2010. (We are currently in FY 2011, and FY 2012 will start on October 1st).

In Oregon, the Fair Housing Council of Oregon and Oregon Legal Aid Services have received a total of $1,075,000 in these three fiscal years; the table pasted below shows the amount by agency and by FY.

FHAP Grant Funding: $400,000
A search of HERE shows that the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry has received nearly $400,000 in HUD FHAP funding during these three fiscal years (If you open the search link, select Bureau of Labor and Industries in columns to the right to see amount for just that agency). [I suspect this subtotal may not include costs of training of BOLI staff paid for by HUD, but welcome any amplification/ correction of what is and isn't included in the FHAP totals].

Total 3 Year FHEO Grant Funding: $1,475,000
Combining these two HUD FHEO grant programs, the three year total of HUD Fair Housing Direct Grant Funding in Oregon is $1,475,000 million.  Note that this does NOT include spending by CDBG grantees on fair housing related activities.
