Lake Oswego Foothills Development Agreement Extension Looming Next Week With Closed Meetings Today and Public Meeting Next Tuesday.

A Wednesday April 25th extension deadline for completing a revised development agreement (without the streetcar) for the Foothills area redevelopment in Lake Oswego likely means that provisions of that agreement will be discussed in closed sessions of the Lake Oswego City Council and Lake Oswego Redevelopment Agency today, Tuesday April 17th.

The current Lake Oswego calendar shows a special City Council meeting on Tuesday April 24th and I anticipate this meeting will provide the opportunity for the public to comment similar to the November 29th, 2011 City Council meeting. [My written comments for that meeting can be found in PDF file HERE].

Look later HERE for updates for the Tuesday April 24th Council /LORA Meeting next week, including meeting materials and the text of the proposed development agreement and City Council resolution.

I will be reviewing the proposed extension as soon as it is available to see what commitment is made to affordable housing in this revised agreement. (Readers will recall that in my prior November 2011 comments, I projected a need for 579 affordable rental units below 60% MFI as part of a planned expansion of 1,653 rental units in Foothills).
