Report HERE includes state level data: Oregon had 4,218 originators, 585 companies and 667 branches.

Another tip from BeSpacific: New national consumer focused NMLS website scheduled to go live August 1st HERE allows consumer to check license status of lender and originator. (Looks to me that site is at least partially alive now).
