Oregon Projects Get HUD Green Retrofit Funding.

Daily Journal of Commerce story is HERE. 

Story says three projects funded, but list from HUD below appears to show only two projects in Oregon (Portland and Salem) and not the third project in the story, in Estacada. 

If third project was funded, total units funded were 132, if not total units were 70; total dollars with third project are $2 million according to story, without third project amount is slightly less than $1 million.

Ouch: Report Says Only 65 Oregon "Green Jobs" Created by Recovery Act Programs So Far; Washington State Total Was 1,027 Recovery Act GJ's.

Details for Washington State total of 1,027 "Green Jobs" created start on page 22, Washington State Total is 7.8% of the national total of 13,151 "Green Jobs" created by Recovery Act funding. (Most of Wa. state jobs appear to be Hanford related).

"The Green Retrofit Program for Multifamily Housing (“GRP”) Notice will be published on www.hud.gov/recovery website tomorrow morning, with a notice also published in the Federal Register. Once the Notice has been published, OAHP will discuss the GRP in detail with all stakeholders. To that end, you are invited to participate in a webinar presented by OAHP’s Deputy Assistant Secretary, Theodore Toon; Jerry Anderson, Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary; Donna Rosen, Washington Preservation Office Director and Harry West, Chicago Preservation Office Director. The webinar is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 13^th from 2:00 – 4:00 EDT.
