Memorial Day Weekend Diversion: A 30 Song Home and Housing Related Music Playlist.

Thanks to invaluable recommendations from readers/pals at NLIHC, Oregon NOAH, and the City of Gresham, I was able to expand my prior (weak) 4 song "home and housing related" music playlist post to 30 songs.  In addition to the numerical expansion, the suggestions significantly expanded the genres covered and the age of the music from my [frozen in time] 60's and 70's focus.

Playlist, PDF Version
The playlist is available as a PDF file HERE. Songs are listed in alpha order; links to a song title will take you to a iTunes web page with the song; once your there, click to the left of the song title to listen to a preview.

On the right column for the song on the preview page you can then click to view/purchase the song within iTunes.

Playlist, MS Excel Download/ Embed
I am also using the MS cloud SkyDrive upload and embed capability to upload/embed the playlist as an Excel file; a direct link to download the Excel file is HERE.

You can also scroll and click on individual song names to take you to the iTunes preview from the embedded file below.

Playlist, Text File
Finally, I have exported some playlist fields from iTunes for these 30 songs as a text file HERE. (It may be possible to upload this playlist to other online music streaming services? [Is it too obvious I am way over my head in explaining how this might work?).

Happy Memorial Day, Folks!

Passages: Box Tops Lead Singer RIP.

Sad to hear that lead singer for the Box Tops has died.

I know I am dating myself, but The Letter was HUGE hit in the 'Nam in 1967; I have to confess that I never knew that name of vocal lead was Alex Chilton and he was only 16 at time of recording. (iTunes link to Box Tops music is HERE).

(Wonder what biggest music hit is with troops in Afghanistan today?).

LA Times obit for Chilton is HERE.
