Story headline is a bit misleading, but important Business Week story HERE.
While I know FHA has hired a lot of staff to deal with volume increase in field home ownership centers, it appears they have NOT done enough on the lender review side in HUD HQS to screen bad actors from becoming FHA lenders. That would be the ultimate "penny wise and pound foolish".
