City of Portland Economic Stimulus Initiative Documents Includes Housing.

Mayor Adams's PR on Economic Stimulus Initiatives is HERE. (My guess is that program will soon be shorthanded as "ESI".)

Portland Tribune story is HERE.
Much of money is bond financing, not direct dollars.

Best I can tell, $503 million in story does NOT include $880 million requested from feds, although suspect that at least some projects will be contingent upon receiving other funds, and investors willing to purchase bonds).

Outline of elements of the plan is HERE. (Pg.2 and 3 have housing initiatives, including previously announced foreclosure $$ from HUD Neighborhood Stabilization Program).

Capital Improvement Projects are found HERE.
  • Pg.6 shows $53 Million for Veterans housing project, projected to create 150 jobs;
  • A Housing Authority of Portland downtown Resource Center on page 2 is projected at $48 million, with 125 jobs, contingent upon finding other resources).
My earlier post with Excel listing of "shovel ready" Oregon projects from U.S. Conference of Mayors is HERE.
