Folks might remember that in my June 2009 post HERE I said that it was highly unlikely that NW Oregon HA voucher spending in FY 2009 was LESS than in FY 2008.
Well, guess what, new data I have reviewed showed that I was WRONG.
As it turns out the audited spending by NW HA for vouchers was $218,000 LESS in FY 2009 vs FY 2008, a reduction of 3.5%
FY 2008 | FY 2009 | $ Change, 09-08 | $ Change, 09-08 |
$ 6,269,408 | $ 6,050,903 | -$218,505 | -3.5% |
The NW Oregon HA single audit summary for FY 2009 is HERE; and for FY 2008 HERE.
Therefore, contrary to my belief in June of 2009, the audited DATA shows that NW Oregon HA voucher spending was LOWER in FY 2009 than in FY 2008.
Whether that REDUCTION in voucher spending was a result of overspending or under utilization is a separate issue.
But "Fair is Fair" and I think it is important to say for the record that audited data shows that NW HA voucher spending was LOWER in FY 2009 than in FY 2008.
