FHA Oregon SF Activity Through April: $1.5 Billion; Refis Down, Purchase Loans UP vs YTD 2009.

I have prepared three different reports showing Oregon FHA SF Activity for CY 2010 Through April
1.Statewide Summary
I have prepared a statewide summary report of FHA Single Family lending in Oregon for CY 2010 through April. (First page of the report shows YTD totals, while second page shows monthly totals; note that this is the only report in this series that includes HECM loan data).

That summary report is HERE. It shows:
  • Refinance loan counts, including HECM loans, are down 33% from same period in 2009.
  • Conversely, home purchase loan counts are UP 60% vs same period last year.
  • Average loan amounts are down 5% for refinances, but only 1.2% for purchase loans.
2. County Breakouts of FHA Purchase and NON HECM Refinances, by Month for CY 2010.
I have prepared a second report HERE that shows purchase and refinance loans ONLY (NO HECMs) by Oregon County for each month during CY 2010.

3. Portland Metro Breakout of FHA Purchase and NON HECM Refinances.
Finally, a third report HERE shows a breakout of FHA home purchase and refinance activity by counties (NO HECMs) in the Portland Metro area including comparisons between 2009 and 2010 activity.
