TARP IG Quarterly Report Includes Hardest Hit Goodies; Oregon Projections Raise Questions.

Report is HERE. Report is password protected, so not possible to copy and paste text. (Ironic blind spot from IG on transparency, no?).

Hardest Hit Details
  • PDF page 34 indicates that an audit is underway of the Hardest Hit program.
  • Detailed Hardest Hit Program descriptions by state can be found on PDF pages 85-93.
  • Oregon amounts by program and by projected households helped are found on page 91.
  • Report shows that Oregon projects 9,400 households will be helped by Hardest Hit Programs; largest number of households helped are the 4,000 households to be helped by $144 million Mortgage Payment Assistance program for the unemployed.
  • With original $88 million projected to help 6,000 households, seems odd that an additional $132 million will help only an additional 3,400 households--that would be nearly $39,000 per household for the 3,400 additional households.
