That got me thinking so I went in to the Oregon Labor Market Information website and with the search HERE I created table below.
It shows that ANNUALLY from 2008-2018 the projection is that there will only be 23 carpenter job openings for NEW jobs each year, with another 171 annual job REPLACEMENT openings; this means the TOTAL 10 YEAR statewide growth in carpentry jobs is only 227! (Note that table shows statewide total, but search link above ALSO includes regional numbers).
