NEW Oregon FHA CY 2010 Home Loan Data: 20,000 Loans ($4.2 Billion); Refinancing Drop Off Pushes Overall Volume Down by 24% vs. CY 2009.

My one page DRAFT table for last three years, including new CY 2010 data, is HERE. Some quick observations:
  1. Total FHA single family loans in Oregon over last 3 calendar years were more than 64,000 loans , $13.8 billion.
  2. Total CY 2010 loans were 20,000 , $4.18 billion.
  3. CY 2010 VS. CY 2009:
  • Overall decline in number of loans was 24%;
  • 33% decline in refinance loans;
  • 59% decline in HECM/reverse equity loans (another form of refinancing);
  • Purchase loans down only 6%.
I hope to have some county level FHA totals for CY 2010 up by the end of this week, beginning of next.  Any changes to this draft will reflected in the statewide totals.
