Report: Portland Metro Has 47% of State Population, 59% of State Economic Output.

Brookings has published a summary of Metro area economic and population data for 2009 in a series of state summaries that can be found HERE.

Oregon's summary for Metro areas can be found HERE.   It says that the Portland metro area: 
accounts for 47 percent of the state's population, 51 percent of its jobs, and 59 percent of its economic output.
For ALL Oregon Metro areas report says that: 
Oregon's six metro areas constitute 78 percent of the state's population, 80 percent of its jobs, and 83 percent of its economic output.
