131 Staff Currently in Offices HUD Wants to Close.

In public inspection FR Thursday HUD has provided summary of cost savings for those 16 offices it wants to close; it says $11 to $14.9 million annual savings. Look for formal publication in tomorrow's Federal Register.

Using HUD locator data I estimate 131 HUD employees in these offices will lose their jobs via buyouts or be transferred through directed reassignments to other HUD Offices.  Includes 5 staff in Spokane.

HUD estimates 25-50% will transfer.
