Census has just published updated 3 year ACS data for 2013; I have constructed a new version of the Excel workbook HERE, and embedded below. It includes new worksheets including an easy to use summary table for 2013 that shows side by side comparisons for two geographies chosen by the user.
Some observations:
2010-2013
Oregon
- Had a net loss of 25,162 White Non Hispanic homeowners and 291 African American homeowners.
- The home ownership rate for white Non Hispanics declined by 2.7% to 64.3%; the rate for African Americans by declined by 5.2% to 32.4%
- Had a net loss of 1,037 White Non Hispanic homeowners and 494 African American homeowners.
- The home ownership rate for White Non Hispanics declined by 2.2% to 56.7%; the rate for African Americans declined by 3.5% to 30.7%.
Oregon
- The White Non Hispanic HO rate DECLINED from 64.8% to 64.3%.
- The African American HO rate improved from 31.3% to 32.4%.
City of Portland
- The White Non Hispanic HO rate improved from 56.1% to 56.7%.
- The African American HO rate improved from 29.5% to 30.7%.
