In One Year Oregon's HUD Homeless Inventory Increased 3,600 Total Beds/19%; Portland Metro Accounted for 2,600 of that Increase.

HUD has published the 2022 raw data for their homeless project inventory by CoC HERE.

I combined that data with similar 2021 data and compiled the table pasted below that shows the counts and changes by the number of projects, the total number of beds, and the total of year round beds.  (A PDF version of the table is available HERE).

Some observations:

For the first time, the statewide count of total beds (22,210) and year round beds (20,858) exceeds 20,000 beds AND the count of projects (819) exceeds 800.

The Washington county CoC had the highest percentages increases, increasing their project count by 42%, their total bed count by 85% , and their year round bed count by 98%.
