Oregon 2nd Special Session Budget Materials: Both FTE and Position Counts Increase, Breakouts by Agency.

 One of the documents posted on the Joint Committee for the Oregon 2nd special legislative session meeting today is a budget summary by agency and program area for general fund  appropriations. Meeting materials are HERE; my focus is on LC 12 found HERE and the related budget summary for LC 12 HERE. 

I was able to extract changes to the number of authorized positions and their full time equivalents (FTE) and compile them in a table which I am pasting in a table below. 

This table show the changes in the number of FTE and authorized positions by agency. 

Observations:

• Total FTE increases by 535/2.74%
• Total authorized positions increase by 864/4.15%

NOTE: Much of the increase is because of substantial increases in the Employment Department with a 423 increase in FTE. and a 753 increase in positions.

HOWEVER, even without those increases the total number of FTE increases by 102 and the number of positions increase by 167.
