Oregon MPAC Affordable Subcommittee Housing Data: $10 BILLION+ in Federal SF Loans.

I previously posted [HERE] about the work of this committee and the request for data that had been made at the first meeting.

Earlier today I provided two sets of new single family data for review by the subcommittee (along with my prior data with corrected sub area cost burden percentages).

I have pasted below excerpts from my email, along with the links to the tables I constructed showing the $10 BILLION+ in annual federal support for single family lending in the 3 county PDX metro area:
  1. " A table [HERE] showing by Metro city the level of FHA Single Family lending during the first 6 months of 2010. Half year loan totals were $1.2 billion, providing financing for 5,200 households.
  2. A table [HERE] I have constructed showing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac CY 2008 single family loans for 3 county Portland Metro area by county. Data shows $9.7+ BILLION in loans to 41,000+ households.
While FHA and GSE data are for different time periods, the expanded market share for GSE's since 2008 means that total 2010 FHA, Fannie and Freddie single family loan commitments in Metro area will exceed $10 billion and more likely will be $11 billion+, helping 50,000+ households. (Note that this data does NOT include VA SF loan guarantees)"
