2019-2024: OHCS Counts 18,825 Units Developed; 3 PDX Counties Have 55% Share /10,404 Units and City of Portland 40% Share /7,510 Units

On Monday I did a summary post showing OHCS funded project totals for the state for projects being placed in service in the six years from 2019-2024.

Statewide there were 266 projects and 18,825 units with total development costs of $5 billion.

This expands on that post by adding subtotals for the three Portland metro counties and for the City of Portland.

Subtotals include yearly counts including unit counts and share of statewide totals. The image below has these yearly and 6 year counts and percentages.

The three Portland Metro counties

  • Have 33 projects.
  • Have 10,404 units and $3 billion in total development costs.
  • Accounted for 55% of statewide units and 61%/$3 billion of statewide total development cost.

The City of Portland

  • Have 24 projects (This means there are 9 projects outside City of Portland in 3 county PDX area).
  • Have 7,510 units and $2.1 billion in total development costs.
  • Accounted for 40% of statewide units and 43%/ $2.1 billion of statewide total development cost.
